About 350 schools

In the count down to Copenhagen we are organising community education and participation events to raise awareness about targets World leaders need to set in December.

To do our bit we want to get 350 schools involved in activities to encourage world leaders to take action on climate change.

We’ve created this site for school communities (kids, parents and teachers) to talk and raise ideas on what we can do to participate in the day of global action on 24th October 2009.

The 350 movement aims to promote 350 parts per million of Carbon in the atmosphere as the long term target that our leaders should be aiming for in Copenhagen. There is compelling scientific research which shows that this is the level will stop inevitable and so called “runaway” effects of climate change. Follow the link to the main 350 site for scientific information, background on why 350 is an important number and information about other 350 activities being organised around the world.

By joining the push for a 350ppm target you can act to help gather the momentum needed to help the next generation inherit a planet we are proud of.

Encourage your school community to register and move towards action… it feels good!
